Practice Plan Perks

We are pleased to announce an additional benefit to all members of the practice membership scheme we now offer Practiceplan Perks. This provides access to a website which provides offers and discounts at a wide range of big name retailers. For example a 5% saving on food shopping can be made. Based upon users for May 2011 members were saving £37 per month. Existing members and new members will receive a reference number to log on.

BDA Good Practice Awards

Sharon Damian and some of the staff recently attended a drinks reception to celebrate our membership of the BDA Good practice Scheme.We are proud to say we have been members for 6 years and next year will become silver members.The practice has to meet the high standards in patient care as set out by the scheme in order to become members.

The team form Church Road Dental were recognised for their membership of the Good Practice Scheme and are here pictured being presented with their award by the BDA President Janet Clarke.

Welcome to our new trainee dental nurse

Melissa Burgess has recently joined us as a trainee dental nurse and she is already showing a great aptitude for the job! All our other members of staff are helping to train and mentor her and she will soon be starting night school. Good luck with your studies and training Melissa.

New sterilization suite

We are proud to announce the opening of our new dedicated sterilization suite. This meets the best practice standards of the Department of Health.

Postgraduate Training

Continuing postgraduate training is central to the practice so we can offer the latest techniques.

All the practice regularly takes part in training.

Damian and Lisa attended a course at the beginning of the month covering the link between oral health and its effects on general health and wellbeing.

Damian O'Shea attended the Association of Dental Implantology Conference in April.

Both Sharon and Damian are looking forward to incorporating their new found skills and knowledge into their clinical work at the practice.

Digital x-rays

We have now installed the latest technology to take digital x-rays. This has many benefits such as a lower radiation dose and the ability to show images on a computer monitor so you can better understand your treatment.

Free no obligation cosmetic consultation

Many people have some aspect of their smile they are not happy with but are unsure about what is available to improve this. We have therefore introduced a free no obligation cosmetic consultation. This allows new and existing patients to discuss with a dentist what is available in cosmetic dentistry and what could be achieved for them. If after this you were interested in having treatment an appropriate examination and treatment plan can be arranged. So if there is something you've always dreamt of changing why not come in. Finance scheme

For more extensive course of treatment we are able to arrange finance facilities so that payment can be made over a number of years. Ask us for details.

Nervous patients

Many patients are unaware of the service we offer for them. In particular we offer intravenous sedation. We have become accredited with the Dental Phobia website. We also ran an advertisement in the South Manchester Reporter and The Sale and Altrincham Advertiser.
